Frequently asked questions
What is Pleinair Tools?
Pleinair Tools offers lightweight, thoughtfully designed systems for outdoor painters. Created by an industrial designer and plein-air painter, each product is built to simplify setup, reduce fatigue, and keep the focus on creativity.
What materials are your tools made from?
Currently, I use durable 3D-printed polymers, aluminium and lightweight components, with future plans to expand into injection-molded for long-term production.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Are your tools compatible with other plein-air gear?
Yes. Our systems are designed to work with common painting supports and can easily integrate with tripods, backpacks, and existing studio gear.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in Munich with materials shipped from local providers.
Can I use stretched canvas or just panels?
Our transporters are optimized for panels. We recommend panels for outdoor painting due to their portability, but we’re working on future solutions for stretched canvases.
GoEasel-Hold works for both Canvas and panels.
How do I maintain my Pleinair Tools gear?
Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or direct sunlight to extend the life of the materials.
How clean your equipment should be is up to you. The materials allow the use of painting solvents.
I simply wipe with a damp cloth after use.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
Do you offer tutorials or setup guides?
Yes—demo videos and quick-start guides will be available at launch.
